Description

The TUBULUS Ximius BNC Clock Cable is based on 7 pure silver conductors. These are solid core conductors to prevent strand interaction, which is a major source of distortion. With these 7 conductors the use of the skin effect is maximized which is of great influence on high frequency signals like clock signals.

The conductors are surrounded by mainly air, because (except for a vacuum) air is the best dielectric. This air insulation is made possible by our unique Septet Helix Tube Construction, which can only be made by hand. With this Septet Helix Tube Construction the silver wires are held firmly into place to prevent the wires from vibrating freely in the air. For a BNC clock cable it’s unique to have air insulation.

The Tubulus Ximius BNC Clock Cable consists of various diameter conductors because every diameter has its own musical character. With a special thermo-process the silver conductors are restructured at a molecular level to reach a quality close to mono crystal silver.

The TUBULUS Ximius BNC Clock Cable is also equipped with 5 layers of very effective shielding to prevent electrical noise entering into the cable. This shielding has a pure silver drain wire and a 100% coverage.

To prevent radio frequency interference (RFI) from modulating the ground reference, skin effect filtering is applied to the shield. This is a very effective way to eliminate noise and RFI before it reaches the component.

The TUBULUS Ximius BNC Clock Cable is available as a 75ohm or 50ohm version with high quality gold plated BNC plugs, which are soldered with silver containing solder.
