Denafrips’ popular budget ARES series R-2R DAC now the beauty is now more than just skin deep. Most notable upgrade from previous Ares DACs is the use of two LPNO “Low Phase Noise Oscillator” Clocks. Digital music playback a perfect jitter free pulse rhythm is critical to the converted analog sound. Simply sourcing and adding the clocks in the circuitry does not instantly equals to good sound. Special attention to details of the power supply and other engineering and manufacturing efforts are needed to meet the objective of the making a better sounding Ares DAC. The Ares 15TH DAC.
